The Youth Ministry of CBC is full of energy - as if they have caffeine coursing through their veins - and our group leaders help keep the focus on Christ during the Gospel Centered lessons, games, and music. Many activities of the church throughout the year will include our youth. We involve them in our Sunday activities through teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, leading the children's moment in the worship service, and at times leading the Sunday morning worship service on our 'Connect Sunday'. Often visiting the local Nursing Homes, Christmas Caroling, and attending concerts are some of the regular activities our youth are accustom to. Using the Bible to prepare the lessons, our Connect group gains wisdom in order to handle everyday life according to Scripture.
Our youth are the main contributors to the packing system for our backpack ministry. The youth often compete among themselves in order to be allowed to pack the backpacks for the less fortunate. It is a blessing to see them eager to serve.
We also offer our youth a verity of summer activities. We currently attend Crossings Camp, but intend to offer opportunities for Backyard Bible School as an option. We feel this will give them a variety, as well as introduce them to different ways to serve God.
Each year our church conducts a major mission project, and many of our youth will join us on these mission trips, even though they already have many other activities. The Connect group also has a Facebook page to keep the kids connected.
