Children are as high priority as everyone else at Campbellsburg Baptist Church. They are involved in our corporate worship on Sunday mornings, and our focus for Wednesday Nights. Our mid-week services are geared toward discipleship of our children. Along with Gospel centered lessons and many activities, each child learns about God and enjoys fellowship. A light meal begins the night at 6 P.M. with the lessons and activities scattered throughout the night until a closing ceremony at 7:30 P.M. Parents are welcome to sit with their children in the classroom in order to experience what their children are learning; or, they may enjoy fellowship and teaching by our Pastor in a small group during their child's activities. Our children's program is in session every Wednesday night that HCPS is in session. This great ministry would not be possible if it were not for the MANY volunteers that sacrifice each week for the spiritual growth of these children. Thank You!
We offer a summer camp for our kids. Having attended Crossings since 2009, we have noticed great spiritual growth in our children as a result. The children eagerly await the return to camp each year. A strong Gospel message weaves its way through the lessons, small groups, meals, and games. Activities include a zip line, swimming, arts and crafts, drama, bazooka ball, fishing, field games, and many others. The strong Gospel message presented at this camp has resulted in 30+ professions of faith at CBC.
Another ministry that involves our children is the annual Christmas play that is performed for the church. Each year the play has a different theme that shares the grand story of our Savior's birth, and the kids are left singing the songs until our summer Vacation Bible School (VBS). Yep, we provide our kids a week long VBS in the evening over the summer break from school. We are busy and intentional with our kids and involve them in ministry as much as possible.
